Why is this an issue? Unless the people complaining about it want to gippo the system. This is a requirement in South Africa and many other free elective countries. It prevents to a large extent fraudulent activities in an election. It is literally a no brainer, an ID is required for voting to show that you are a real person, not dead and not made up.
