The supermajority has delivered:
1. Less freedom for women
2. More guns in criminal hands with permitless carry
3. The most polluted water in the entire country, and
4. A decade of terrible wage growth

Probably the most egregious of the ruling is that no argument can be presented about the violation of the Bundy’s grazing rights guaranteed under federal law. The federal laws pertaining to grazing rights which were violated wholesale by the BLM are off the table. I will not repeat those here as I have outlined them in numerous previous columns.
Suffice it to say that if the cause of the actions of the defendants is not to be considered, there is no defense left. Did they impede government agent? Of course, they did. But it would seem to me it would be relevant for the jury to know why they impeded the government agents. Were the BLM agents engaged in an illegal act? Of course, they were.
I am concerned that a judge can rule that the past actions of the defendant are open for consideration but the action of the government leading up to the confrontation is not. I understand it is the judge’s role to see that the material presented to the jury is relevant to the case, but I fail to see where it is fair to look at the past trial, identify those things that caused doubt in the minds of the jury and then exclude them from the next trial.
If you have had the privilege of being selected to appear for jury duty, you have seen the way justice is supposed to be served in America. The judge is supposed to be an impartial arbitrator. There is a prosecutor to represent the government and defense lawyer to represent the accused.
I have been called for jury duty many times and for whatever reason, I have never been selected to sit on a jury. The last time I appeared for jury duty it seemed as though I had survived the questions of both the defense lawyer and the prosecutor when the judge asked me if I would follow his instructions as to how to rule in the case. He apparently picked up on something in my answers he did not like. I told him that I believed my role as a juror was to listen to the facts in the case and make up my own mind as to the guilt or innocence of the individual. I told him it was his job to make sure the trail was fair, it was my job to determine guilt or innocent based on the facts presented to me. I was dismissed.
Judge Navarro’s rulings reminds of the story of Roman days when Nero was trying to rid Rome of Christians. He brought a Christian into the coliseum, tied him hand and foot and released a lion. When the lion sniffed the Christian, the Christian did the only defensive thing he could do and bit the lion on the nose sending the lion running off yelping in pain. Nero yelled down: “Fight fair, fight fair”.

Now I am not a lawyer but this does not seem fair on any level. It is like a football game that ended in a tie at half time so the officials have ruled that the leading passer and receiver of the team they did not want to win cannot play in the second half.

According to the ABC interview he explained that the gun went off when he cocked the hammer and then let go—hence the assertion that he never actually pulled the trigger. Again, proper weapons training repeatedly states, you are responsible for the weapon in your hands. He bears some responsibility.
*The gun was a single action revolver, if you pull the hammer back, either fully cocked or half cocked, it should lock. The only way to release it is to pull the trigger. You can rapid fire a gun by half cocking the hammer and releasing it while holding the trigger.. Remember the old westerns where the cowboy is holding the gun with one hand and using the palm of his other hand to rapid fire the gun using the hammer with the trigger in the back position. In fanning a gun, you need to hold the trigger in the back position. If for some reason you pull the hammer back and the locking mechanism fails and does not lock the hammer in the back position, you have fired the gun. If the hammer is locked in the back position and you release it quickly and allow it to hit the compression cap, it will fire. The only way to release it once it's cocked is to slowly lower the hammer down while pointing the barrel of the gun away from anyone or anything and regulate the trigger tension. It would be easy to test. Does the locking mechanism on the gun work? If it works, he dropped the hammer too quickly and fired due to his incompetence. Or his thumb slipped off the hammer before it reached the locking mechanism and the weapon discharged or he haphazardly released the hammer and it is the likely scenario. Again, whether it had live rounds or blanks, every gun safety class I have ever attended, clearly, repeatedly, explicitly stated, “Treat every gun as if it is loaded and never point a firearm at anyone or anything unless you are prepared to use it. Never cock the hammer or place your finger on the trigger or inside the trigger guard unless you are ready to fire the weapon.” He probably won't be held criminally responsible, but he will be sued civilly and should be. At the end of the day, it was his responsibility and his statement above just sealed his fate in a civil lawsuit.

I believe that Black Lives do matter and also there’s probably about 10% Of the Police that shouldn’t be cops. Being retired from the United States Air Force, Kneeling during the National Anthem It’s not the right way to go about it. Taking a knee for one minute in silence before the the National Anthem is what I’d recommend. A lot of life’s have been given up for your freedom therefore I will never diss honor the National Anthem or the American Flag. There’s only one way to bring back the government to represent the people. One 5 year term only. No re-elections, reelections causes all politicians to become indebted to their party, and they stop representing the people. The president the senators and congress all return home with no retirement no benefits and live like everybody else. But we should pay them a good salary while in office. 10 states would have elections every year. This would take five years to get affective. Just my opinion🤗
