Guns and firearm accessories are villanized and portrayed to be the problem but aren't the root cause. You can leave a fully loaded weapon or pistol brace out in public and NOTHING BAD WILL EVER HAPPEN until a person with murderous intent or who is mentally deficient comes along and picks it up. Texas has an "open carry" law. Are people there gunning each other down? Of course not and to imply that would be totally ludicrous. Mental health experts have told us for decades now, based on scientific data captured from countless studies (and funded by taxpayer $$$), that our brains don't become fully developed until age 25 so why have we passed and are contining to pass laws that impact our society that are contrary to this? In many states kids can apply for and get a driver's license when they're 16-18. Kids can enlist in our military when they turn 18 and die for our nationalist beliefs. Kids can legally drink alcohol at 21. Where's the law that prohibits, bans and stops minors from possessing, having access to and downloading violent and graphic first-person-shooter video games ?
America IS a great country but poorly written laws rushed through the legislative process only weaken what started out with good intentions and make our lives unsafe - for everyone. We need to end the politicalization of our government and embrace the Constitution. When will Congress have the courage to permanently ban earmarks and "dark money" and make their use a criminal offense? The rules governing lobbyists and special interest groups needs urgent overhaul. We definitely need more restrictive and punitive laws to combat CORRUPTION in government.
So, I'm not saying that by raising the minimum age from 18 or 21 to 25 will stop gun violence. Doing so however does have the potential of non-starting many crimes or tragic accidents before they happen.
Why does the federal government ALLOW the continuation of gun violence and homelessness in Democratic run communities like LA, Chicago, Minneapolis, San Francisco, NYC and others? If locally elected politicians fail, then it's the responsibility of the federal government to step in and protect the citizens living in those communities. Allowing millions of undocumented and illegal foreign migrants to enter and become imbedded in our communities only adds to existing problems. For what purpose? To let them vote illegally and steal future elections? To just continue the cycle of adding to our national debt and further erode the constitutionality of our republic?
Every single politician ever elected has publicly sworn, under oath, "to support and defend the Constitution" and "to protect our country from ALL enemies, foreign and domestic". When will lawmakers also be courageous enough to pass laws that betraying that oath is a crime, punishable by mandatory prison time, and IMMEDIATE REMOVAL FROM OFFICE. Suspended without pay, stripped of their title and all priviledges and benefits attached to it, pending the outcome of a formal investigation. Don't give us lies, lip service or empty rhetoric anymore. Stop treating us like unintelligent morons. Do what your oath demands.... BE TRANSPARENT and actually pass legislation to help ALL LAWFUL CITIZENS!! 🇺🇲

if you truly want to take a major step in reducing the rampant, politically biased corruption in U. S. government you can start by cleaning house - remove ALL presidential "appointees" and fill those positions through a open competitive examination process. Americans deserve men and women of strong character who are both ethical and moral and, most importantly, unbribable. As I have said many times, the entire process of how people are selected to be agency administrators in the federal government needs to change. Merely to be named or selected and then rubber stamped by the Senate is woefully inadequate. The process has allowed political favoritism and bias to entrench itself, like a cancer, within these organizations. Homeland Security, the FBI, DOJ, CDC, CIA and many others have become corrupt through these "political appointees".
The solution is to have an unbiased and fair multi-level open, competitive examination of qualified candidates. The exam could be structured many different ways but one example would be to incorporate a lengthy written test along with a scenario based oral interview(s) to determine the candidates' overall knowledge and leadership/management abilities for the position they're seeking. Each and every administrator must be willing, able and competent to do the work of any of the employees within their organization. They must be capable of rolling up their sleeves and demonstrate to their subordinates that they themselves are not afraid of hard work. In fact, they embrace it. They foster a work environment and possess a personal ethic that has zero tolerance for anything unlawful - at every level. They have characters and morals that cannot be bribed or influenced no matter how great the temptation or promises made by corrupt, immoral politicians or lobbyist.
All of these men and women take an oath of office which, in part, asks them to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. When they willfully and intentionally violate that oath, by enacting policies that favor a political ideology or instruct others to lie, mislead, distort, cover up or hide the truth, they need to be held criminally accountable under the harshest penalties.
There are many great patriots currently working in Washington and we should recognize their service to us and America. Sadly, there are many who are the exact opposite and work everyday to undermine the founding principles of our republic. We should all be demanding open, public hearings into the FBI raid at Mar-a-Lago. The government too often uses closed hearings citing classified information might get revealed. I don't need a senator or congressional representative to act as a "mouth piece" ...wasting their vote on bad legislation that doesn't benefit every American or filled with earmarks that continues the neverending cycle of bribery and dark money.
Do not squander your vote in November. Elect righteous men and women of great character to serve us and forever abandon the evil political rhetoric that lurks within those who only care about themselves or some fringe activist cause or special interest.
